- We are NOT a property owner, manager, or landlord
- We are NOT a booking agent or travel agency
- We are NOT a payment processor or escrow service
- We are NOT an insurance provider
- We are NOT a party to any rental agreements
- We do NOT verify property owners or guests
- We do NOT inspect or certify properties
2. No Verification or Endorsement
LonerTech Ltd. does NOT verify, endorse, guarantee, or make any representations about:

🏠 Property Accuracy
The accuracy of listing descriptions, photos, or property details

The condition, safety, cleanliness, or quality of any property

📅 Availability
The availability or accuracy of pricing information

The reliability or trustworthiness of any user

3. User Responsibility
By using ShortRest, you acknowledge and accept full responsibility for:
For Guests
- Verifying the identity and legitimacy of property owners
- Inspecting properties before booking or payment
- Verifying all property details, amenities, and photos
- Ensuring properties meet your safety and quality standards
- Negotiating and agreeing to rental terms directly with property owners
- Making secure payment arrangements
- Understanding and accepting all risks associated with short-term rentals
For Property Owners
- Ensuring all listing information is accurate and truthful
- Complying with all local laws, regulations, and licensing requirements
- Maintaining your property in safe and habitable condition
- Verifying the identity of guests before rental
- Having appropriate insurance coverage
- Honoring all bookings and commitments made to guests
- Resolving disputes directly with guests
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law:
LonerTech Ltd. and ShortRest SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES, LOSSES, OR INJURIES ARISING FROM:
- Property Issues: Property damage, theft, loss, safety hazards, or unsanitary conditions
- Personal Harm: Personal injury, illness, or death occurring at any listed property
- Financial Loss: Payment disputes, fraud, scams, or non-payment by either party
- Contract Breaches: Cancellations, no-shows, or failure to honor bookings
- Inaccurate Information: False, misleading, or outdated listing information
- Legal Issues: Violations of local laws, regulations, or property rights
- User Conduct: Any actions, omissions, or misconduct by property owners or guests
- Third-Party Services: Issues with payment processors, messaging apps, or other third-party services
- Platform Interruptions: Service outages, technical errors, or data loss
- Disputes: Any disputes between property owners and guests
Our maximum liability for any claim shall not exceed ₦10,000 (Ten Thousand Naira).
5. No Payment Processing
ShortRest does NOT process, hold, or facilitate any payments between property owners and guests.
All payment arrangements, including deposits, rental fees, and refunds, are made directly between property owners and guests. We have no involvement in or responsibility for any financial transactions.
6. User-Generated Content
All listings, photos, descriptions, and reviews on ShortRest are user-generated content. We do not:
- Pre-screen or verify user-generated content before publication
- Guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content
- Endorse any opinions, recommendations, or advice expressed by users
- Take responsibility for any errors, omissions, or misrepresentations in user content
While we reserve the right to remove content that violates our Terms of Service, we are not obligated to monitor all content and cannot be held liable for user-generated content.
7. Third-Party Links
Our platform may contain links to third-party websites, services, or applications (e.g., Google Maps, WhatsApp, social media). We are not responsible for:

ShortRest is NOT responsible for resolving disputes between users.
Any disputes, disagreements, or issues arising from property rentals must be resolved directly between the property owner and guest. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Property condition disputes
- Payment or refund disputes
- Cancellation disagreements
- Damage claims
- Service quality complaints
If you cannot resolve a dispute directly, you may need to seek legal advice or pursue resolution through appropriate legal channels.
10. Changes to This Disclaimer
We reserve the right to update this disclaimer at any time. Material changes will be communicated through email or platform notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Your continued use of ShortRest constitutes acceptance of any changes.
